Christmas!
I wrote a Christmas song last Christmas. Though I didn’t release it until February. But today it´s first Advent so….. I called it “It´s raining on Fifth”. The song is a Christmas song for all of us that don´t like Christmas. For all of us that feel that Christmas could be more…inclusive. Christmas a family holiday above all so for many lonely people or people like me, that have a lot of bad memories from Christmas gone by, it can be a challenge.
For me, my father made a lot of my Chrsitmas´s as a kid memorable. For all the wrong reasons. And, unfortunately, my way of living made my kids Christmas´s really bad experiences for them. I still blame my self for it. Thought from their 5:th and 7:th Christmas I stayed sober and Christmas has been better since for them. But I still feel ashamed for what I did.
So, maybe this song was written by me in some therapeutic sense. Even thought I did not realize that last at the time. Anyway, I hope you´ll like it.
