RECORDING AGAIN - CHARLOTTA WILSON

Charlotta Wilson is a singer and keyboardist...... and english teacher. But more impotant an old friend and band mate. We played together in the cover band Tumult back in 2009 for some years. Charlotta, or Challe as we call her, played the keyboards and shared the lead vocal role with me. We also did a couple of killer duets. One of them was Beast of Burden and old Stones song but in the version Bette Midler made famous. The lyrics was kind of made for a duet, man and woman, we realized and did the song like a duet. It worked really good though we had never heard it as a duet before.
Apart from being a good musician she is great fun to be with. After Tumult I missed her and her big loud laughts. Also she could come to rehearsal really angry and started of shouting about something that was ..... fubar. Often it was that some man ... or men i general... that did not measure up to her expectations. And she shouted at us, the rest of the band. All men. But we tried to tell her that she expected to much of us men. We are simple things, we explained. We only mean what we say and want just one thing at time ... and things like that. Actually, one early Gus song was about this. I wrote a song that was like a instructionbook for women about men. The idea came from Challes outbursts. The song was called "This is the way we roll". It never made it to a single but it was taken to the stage as a RMF song.
Anyway, we are recording a demo again. Long time, no demo. It so nice being in the studio again. I have had a lot of work finalizing the album wich is planned for release on april 26. The new demo, "Lost myself" has a nice saxophone line and solo and also I want a big choir. So Challe helps out as one of the voices.
Hear you soon!
/loud again Gus
