QUATRO STYLE!

In the popup up band Forsberg Wilson & Muller Feat: The Stefan and the Spanjolettes we are working on Gus songs in a new setting. Keyboards, Guitar and drums. And it works..... but not always. So, Charlotta Wilson, keyboards, tried the bass. And ... yes? .... she loved it. And after two weeks with one of my faboulus Hagström HB4 basses at home she decided to go all in and she bought a bass. A Cort. A big black Cort. A good one. And she admitted, she's hooked. On the bass. Just as I where when I tried it for the first time way back in 2009.
So the rehearsal last monday bathed in a kind of 70:s Quatro style vibe. Just beautiful. And Ms Wilson does look a bit like Suzi. Not very tall, beautliful, with a great voice and a big black bass. And that nice "left arm extended to reach" stance that comes from sheer geometry. Long bass neck and a rather short arm. Quatro style!
And of course, because Ms Wilson is new to bass playing, the rehearsal went .... slow. So Mr Forsberg at the drums had a lot of excess time. He used it wisely.
Well we are slowly reshaping the sound of our songs to fit the new setting. A lot of work but fun. And next week I'll meet The Stefan and he will for the first time put his parts in on Saxophone and guitar. I look forward to it.
Have a nice weekend!
