Me and my darling Åsa took our grandkids, kids, their wifes and girlfriends for a time out in the Spanish sun. We rented a house in Puerto Banus on Costa del Sol in Spain. It was great! Sun every day, temperatures I could cope with, a nice pool in the garden and a nice big house very close to the beach. With our house as a base we went to see the Nerja caves, Gibraltar, Marbella and the beatiful small village of Ronda in the moutains. I miss it already.
Puerto Banus was built in the early 70's by Jose Banus as a hide away and party place for the very rich and famous. Nowadays there are tourist there to, especially Brittish and Scandinavian, but the fancy beach clubs, the expensive night clubs are still here and the bold and beautiful to. And their yachts. Big yachts. I was in Puerto Banus 23 years ago and back then it was a small village just opened to traditional tourist's but it has grown enormosly. It´s a small city today. Althought, it still has that cozy feeling of small and exclusive. The bold and beautiful's "stage" is built around the harbour with the fancy boutiques, high end tourist trap restaurants all facing the water. But go around to the back side alley between the rows of fancy and you'll find the decadence. Night club's, striptease and gambling! All tucked away out of sight but bang in the middle of thing's in the harbour. That Jose Banus knew what he was doing. And it still works!
So now I'm back in the studio, full of energy. I just got the first "producers cut" of my next song out, "Why can't you see", from Micke MiMo Moberg. He reworked the outro just the right way and now we are working on the general sound of it. The demo was a kind of English-pub-singa-along type of song but now it's going places. Eager to see, or hear, were we will end up.
